About Kat and Juli
One spring afternoon, after a long, fun day of play at their neighborhood courts in Virginia, newly moved in Kat asked Juli if she would want to play in tournaments. A delighted Juli responded quickly, "Yes, but I don't want to play in your age bracket," thinking she was at least 10 years her junior. In true Kat-funny-fashion, she dropped her sunglasses and said, "I'm Asian. Whatever you think, add 10 years."
The court parntership was born and they got to work.
They have won 12ish medals together and are always chasing the next one by working harder, driling longer and playing smarter.
Now best friends and business partners, the pair is sharing what they have learned, lost and laughed at along the way so that other women can benefit from their struggles and triumphs.
They run a large Womens Only Pickleball Group in Virginia holding clinics, leagues, round robins and larger events year round.

About Juli
Aside from being a Pickleball addict, Juli is a writer, beach junkie and crusader for making the rest the best. She got certified in holistic nutrition a few years ago because of the health issues she was experiencing after being diagnosed with a few pesky autoimmune diseases
"When I rounded my 51st birthday, I was 80 pounds overweight, pre-diabetic, depressed, exhausted and suffering from undiagnosed Hashimotos Disease. I found pickleball and I was hooked. And motivated. I went on a journey to get healthier so I could get better at pickleball!"
Today Juli has lost 50+ pounds, reversed insulin resistance, and is working on healing her nervous system.
She is passionate about encouranging women to chase their own second chances and improve their mental fitness on and off the court.

About Kat
Originally from California, Kat brings a rich background in tennis and badminton to her pickleball game. After a shoulder injury sidelined her from those sports, she discovered pickleball and was instantly hooked.
Since earning her PPR certification in July 2023, Kat has dedicated herself to helping beginners and intermediate players advance through tailored drill sessions and private lessons.
Kat is continually training and preparing for her next competition, sharing that same enthusiasm and commitment with her students. Kat believes in the power of a positive mindset and encourages her students to not only improve their technical skills but also strengthen their mental toughness on the court. She is committed to helping each player master fundamentals, sharpen their strategy, and build confidence, both mentally and physically, in their game.
